Decision guide
What matters most before choosing in this category
The best dashboard depends on how much of your position sits in LP, staked or lending forms, and on how much you need the numbers to be defensible. Valuation auditability leads because the figure shown is computed, not observed — whether you can see which oracle priced a position decides if it is usable for anything consequential. Second is what you expose: most of these products learn the full list of wallets you control, and a self-hosted option is a difference in kind rather than a feature.
Key question
How much of your position is in LP, staked or lending forms rather than plain tokens?
Key question
Are you comfortable handing a company the full list of wallets you control?
Key question
Would you need to defend one of these numbers to an accountant or an investor?

Open-source, locally-run portfolio tracker and crypto accounting application
Data checked Aug 2026
Open-source, locally-run portfolio tracker and crypto accounting application. Strongest on valuation auditability (10/10): AGPLv3 source on GitHub (4.0k stars). The REST API docs expose current_price_oracles and historical_price_oracles settings, letting the user set query order across a named list: manual, coingecko, cryptocompare, fiat, manualcurrent, defillama, uniswapv2, uniswapv3, alchemy. It is the only product here where you can… Weakest on pricing transparency & continuity (5/10): Only the €25/month Basic figure is published, and only in an October 2025 blog post — rotki.com/pricing and docs.rotki.com/premium/plans-and-pricing.html both defer to a table that never renders server-side. The Advanced tier price is unobtainable without signing up. Published price: Basic tier: "€25/month (VAT included)", effective 10 November 2025, replacing the previous Premium tier. Existing plans renewing every 3 or 6 months were automatically switched to monthly billing at that rate. Advanced and Custom tiers exist but no price for…

Main tradeoff
The self-hosted option is no longer the cheap one. Rotki held pricing flat from 2017 to 2025, then moved Basic to €25/month and force-migrated 3- and 6-month subscribers to monthly billing at that rate. That is more per year than Zerion, Octav Lite, DefiLlama Pro or Nansen Pro. You are paying a premium for auditability and locality, not saving money.

Existing plans renewing every 3 or 6 months were automatically switched to monthly billing at that rate. Advanced and Custom tiers exist but no price for either is published on any page that serves it — rotki.com/pricing renders its table client-side and returned no figures.

Zerion
Clean onchain portfolio tracker for active wallet users
Editor lead
A strong default when you want a cleaner wallet-first tracking experience with modern UX and strong onchain portfolio visibility.
Best for: Users who want a cleaner wallet-first tracker with strong onchain visibility.
DeBank
DeFi-native tracker for heavier onchain activity
A stronger fit when the real job is monitoring DeFi positions, wallet activity, and a more onchain-native portfolio surface rather than a broader mainstream tracker.
Best for: Users with heavier DeFi and onchain activity who want more direct DeFi visibility.
CoinStats
Broader mixed portfolio tracker across wallets and exchanges
A practical fit when broader wallet-and-exchange coverage matters more than a purely onchain-native tracker posture.
Best for: Users who want broader mixed coverage across wallets and exchanges in one tracker.
