Privacy Policy
1. What is collected
When you use the decision engine without saving anything, ChainChoice collects anonymous session analytics (page views, clicks, time on page) via localStorage. No personal identifiers, no IP storage beyond rate-limit purposes.
When you save a decision for drift monitoring, ChainChoice collects: your email address, the decision inputs you provided to the engine (region, experience, priorities, etc.), and the resulting recommendation snapshot. Stored in Supabase, hosted in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany).
Server logs (Vercel) include IP addresses for rate limiting and abuse prevention. Retained for 30 days, then deleted.
2. What is not collected
No tracking pixels. No third-party analytics. No advertising identifiers. No cross-site tracking.
User data is never sold, rented, or shared with advertisers, marketers, or data brokers.
3. Your rights (GDPR Article 15–22)
Right to access: request a copy of all data held linked to your email.
Right to rectification: correct inaccurate data held about you.
Right to erasure (right to be forgotten): delete all data linked to your email. Use the "Delete all my data" link in any drift alert email, or email privacy@chainchoice.io.
Right to data portability: receive your data in a machine-readable format.
Right to object: stop receiving alerts at any time via the unsubscribe link.
4. Data processors
Supabase — primary database (saved decisions, rate limit state).
Vercel — hosting and serverless functions.
Resend — transactional email (verification, drift alerts).
CoinGecko / DeFi Llama — public market data (no user data sent).
Anthropic — currently used only for AI assistant features when explicitly invoked. No saved decision data is sent to Anthropic.
5. Cookies
ChainChoice uses minimal cookies and localStorage entries for: session continuity, analytics (first-party), theme preference, and cookie-consent state. No advertising cookies.
6. Affiliate disclosure
Some recommendations link to providers with whom ChainChoice has affiliate agreements. ChainChoice may earn a commission if you sign up. This never affects scoring or ranking — see Editorial Policy for details.
7. Changes to this policy
Saved-decision subscribers are notified by email of material changes. The current version and effective date are listed at the bottom of this page.
