ChainChoice for journalists
Facts, data and a person to ask. Everything on this page is computed from the published rankings, or links to the file it comes from.
About ChainChoice
ChainChoice compares crypto and onchain products on published, verifiable criteria: exchanges, wallets, staking, onramps, cards, tax software and more. Each ranking is computed from published criteria and weights, every placement links to its evidence, and the code that ranks providers cannot read affiliate commission data; the build enforces it. ChainChoice is operated by Simi Ventures GmbH, Bonn, Germany.

What a story can use
- rankings.json: Every published ranking, score and criterion: the file the order can be rebuilt from.
- Datasets: Every public data feed, each with a Schema.org Dataset record.
- Methodology: How each score is computed, the criteria and weights per category, and the changelog.
- Corrections log: Every published correction, dated, with what changed.
- How we make money: Affiliate commissions and their limits: the ranking code cannot read commission data.

Reusing the data
ChainChoice's data is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (SPDX CC-BY-4.0, https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/). That is every file under /data/, /datasets/ and /methodology/spec/ on https://chainchoice.io, the answers at /answers and /answers.txt, and the embed payload. Reuse it, commercially too, if you credit ChainChoice (https://chainchoice.io) and say what you changed.
The licence does not cover the site's other pages: their text, design and code stay under German copyright, all rights reserved. Nor does it cover provider names, logos and trademarks, or third-party figures and text inside a file; those stay with their owners.
We do not pay for coverage
ChainChoice does not pay for editorial coverage. It buys no sponsored articles, no paid wire distribution presented as news and no mention in return for anything of value, and it never offers a ranking, a placement or a link in exchange for coverage. If we ever pay to place something, the outlet must label it as advertising, and we record it as paid. Paying for editorial content without saying so is prohibited (German UWG, Annex No. 11; the US FTC Endorsement Guides).
