Entry planSnapshothttps://www.blockpit.io/pricing — fetched 29 September 2026, HTTP 200, plain curl, prices in static HTML. The page was redesigned since 19 August 2026; the prices are unchanged. Top cards: "Portfolio Tracking" "Free"; "Crypto Tax report" "From €49 per tax year"; "Blockpit PLUS" "€3.99 per month". Tax-report ladder, each card reading "One-time purchase per tax year • PDF & CSV export": "Small · up to 50 transactions" "€49"; "Medium · up to 1,000 transactions" "€99"; "Large · up to 3,000 transactions" "€149"; "X-Large · up to 10,000 transactions" "€229"; "XX-Large · more than 10,000 transactions" "€549". Stated basis: "Pricing is based on the number of transactions in the selected tax year, not on the size or value of the portfolio." Blockpit PLUS: "Only €3.99/month" "Incl. tax • Billed as annual subscription", listing "Cost basis, gains, losses per transaction". Human service, now priced on this page: "Free initial consultation" "Free" "15 minutes"; "Expert Check" "€99" "30 minutes"; "Expert Service" "Full tax report preparation" "from €199" "per hour". Source of Funds: "1 Credit" "€19.99"; "3 Credits" "€49.99"; "5 Credits" "€79.99", with "Unused credits remain available until they are needed." The pricing-page FAQ that stated "no subscription and no automatic renewal" is no longer served; the purchased-year permanence stands in the terms (https://www.blockpit.io/terms, "Revised, 25. August 2025", clause 7.3.2).https://summ.com/pricing — fetched 29 September 2026. A desktop User-Agent gets HTTP 403 (also in headless Chrome); an iPhone-Safari User-Agent over HTTP/1.1 gets HTTP 200, and https://summ.com/pricing/personal serves the same page. No currency code is printed; prices render with a bare "$" beside a country selector. Header: "Pay the lowest tax and get the most accurate reports with Summ (formerly Crypto Tax Calculator)." Four plans, each labelled "Annual subscription.": "Rookie" "$ 49" "100" "Transactions"; "Hobbyist" "$ 99" "1,000" "Transactions"; "Investor" "$ 249" "10,000" "Transactions"; "Trader" "$ 499" "100,000" "Transactions", with a slider to "500,000". Every plan lists "Unlimited tax reports for all tax years", "Crypto and stocks coverage" and "Dividend tracking"; "Tax minimisation algorithm", "Tax loss harvesting", "Advanced reports" and "Audit report" start at Investor; "Trading stock report" is on Trader. Above the ladder: "We support up to one million transactions and offer custom solutions for high-volume traders." FAQ: "Our subscription pricing is per year not tax year, so with an annual subscription you can calculate your crypto taxes as far back as 2013." | "Summ has an annual subscription which covers all previous tax years." | "For access to reports, the tax loss harvest tool or chat and priority support, you will need to upgrade to the appropriate paid plan." This is a recurring annual subscription covering all years, not a per-tax-year purchase; access ends when the subscription ends (https://help.summ.com/en/articles/6294285-cancellation-policy, fetched 2026-09-29: "Once your subscription expires, you will lose access to any paid features, including tax reports.").

You buy the tax-year licence and then find part of the interface still locked. Per-transaction cost basis ON SCREEN is NOT in the €49–€549 licence: "To view the Tax Details, you need an active Blockpit Plus subscription!" (https://intercom.help/blockpit/en/articles/12137146-advanced-transaction-details-ledger-tax, "January 30, 2026"), a separate subscription that the pricing page, fetched 2026-09-29, prices at "Only €3.99/month" "Incl. tax • Billed as annual subscription". The number itself is not withheld: the purchased PDF prints 'Kosten (€)', 'Erlös (€)' and 'Gewinn (€)' per transaction (verified on the sample report, pages 16-18). Blockpit Plus buys the on-screen view, not the data. The redesigned pricing page, fetched 2026-09-29, now names what Plus buys: its Blockpit PLUS card lists "Cost basis, gains, losses per transaction". The second sting is the cap, and it bites the buyer who did the right thing. The limit counts a self-transfer TWICE — "Transfers are counted twice because the incoming and outgoing components are separate transactions." (https://intercom.help/blockpit/en/articles/12137278-how-to-understand-the-transaction-limits-of-my-tax-year, "July 20, 2026") — so connecting one more hardware wallet after payment can push you past the package you already bought, and then, on a DIFFERENT help page (https://intercom.help/blockpit/en/articles/12137280-what-happens-if-i-exceed-the-transaction-limit-for-my-purchased-tax-year, "October 1, 2025"): "Once you exceed the transaction limit, you will no longer be able to download the tax report. Upgrade to a higher transaction package to regain access." The step from 50 transactions at 49€ to 1,000 at 99€ is a doubling with nothing in between. Blockpit does only charge the delta, same page: "We will, of course, only charge you the difference between your current package and the higher transaction package." Third, if you ever leave, your lot matching does not come with you: "Transfers are only exported in form of their basic transaction types: Deposit & Withdrawal. The exact reconciliation/reconstruction of previously linked transactions (Transfers) is therefore currently not possible via our export feature." (https://intercom.help/blockpit/en/articles/12137149-how-to-export-my-blockpit-transactions-as-a-csv-file). The CSV that leaves Blockpit has thirteen columns and not one of them is a cost basis. Fourth, portfolio tracking is free: the pricing page, fetched 2026-09-29, lists "Portfolio Tracking" at "Free", and the help centre confirms "You can always import unlimited transactions in terms of Portfolio & Performance Tracking, but for generating a tax report the displayed transaction limits apply." 50 transactions is the cheapest paid tax tier, not a free cap. Fifth, Blockpit names no audit partner: across the 33 Blockpit pages read for this review there is no mention of PwC, and the only claim is unnamed: "Blockpit features country specific and compliant tax frameworks in cooperation with Big4 companies." Its terms are issued by "Blockpit AG".

Three compounding surprises, all landing after the card is charged. (1) YOUR REPORTS ARE RENTED — THOUGH YOUR DATA IS NOT DELETED. Terms clause 5.2: "For recurring services, we grant you and your Authorised Users a right to access the relevant Services only for the duration that you continue to pay for the Service, subject to these Terms." The cancellation article is blunter: "Once your subscription expires, you will lose access to any paid features, including tax reports." Read the whole article, though, because the same page also says: "The data and integrations you have imported are retained and can still be reviewed on the Accounts and Transactions pages unless a refund is issued, which may result in their deletion." So the history stays visible; what dies is the ability to REGENERATE the filed report and to EXPORT anything. The documented escape hatch does not survive either: "Currently, the only way to back up your data in Summ (formerly Crypto Tax Calculator) is by exporting your Transaction report. This ensures you have a copy of your raw data outside the platform.", which requires an active subscription ("An active subscription is required to download reports for all years.") and whose nine columns carry no cost basis. Stop paying in year three and the 2025 return you already filed cannot be regenerated to defend an audit — even though you can still look at the transactions behind it. (2) AT $49 AND $99 YOU CANNOT CHANGE THE INVENTORY METHOD. The pricing page, fetched 2026-09-29, no longer names inventory methods by tier (the features that start at Investor ($249) are "Tax minimisation algorithm", "Tax loss harvesting", "Advanced reports" and "Audit report"), but the vendor's own pricing help article states the gate: "Additionally, tools like the Tax Loss Harvesting Tool, advanced inventory methods, and advanced reports are only available on Investor and Trader Plans." The US default is Highest In First Out, so a US filer on Rookie or Hobbyist is locked into HIFO — a method that materially changes the tax owed — and the fix costs $200 more rather than a settings click. (3) UK FILERS WITH DEFI FACE A ONE-WAY DOOR: "Please note that, currently, the Bridge and Swap categories are not supported if you choose HM Revenue and Customs as your inventory method. If you use other inventory methods (e.g., First In First Out or Average Cost), you can use these categories but will not be able to switch back to HM Revenue and Customs." The method that actually binds under UK law is unavailable to anyone who has bridged or swapped, and leaving it is irreversible. Worse, the escape is paywalled: "In Summ (formerly Crypto Tax Calculator), we provide three inventory methods if your country setting is the UK. The HM Revenue and Customs method is available for all paid subscriptions. We also provide the First In First Out and Average Cost inventory methods for users on the Investor and Trader plans." — so a UK filer on Rookie ($49) or Hobbyist ($99) has HMRC as their only method and therefore cannot use the Bridge or Swap categories at all. Lesser but real: the pricing page, fetched 2026-09-29, no longer lists smart contract transactions by tier, but the vendor's help centre puts them above the $49 tier: "Certain features, such as smart contract transactions, require a subscription to the Hobbyist Plan or higher."

The published score is five dimensions, each weighted for the category. "Published criteria" is the criteria block above; the other four are the engine's own terms — availability, friction, trust record, measured data. Each bar is one side's points out of that dimension's maximum; the weight beside the name is its points of the 86-point weighted total. The published criteria above can fill 24 of the block’s 30. A weight marked “constant here” belongs to a dimension every ranked product in the category holds at the same value: it still counts in the total, and it orders nothing here.
