- Taiko publishes a fee allocation, not a price, re-read 28 October 2026, and it changed since September. The economics page now allocates both components of the L2 gas fee 100% to the configured L2 fee recipient: "Both fee components are credited to the configured L2 fee recipient ('block.coinbase').", with the base fee "not burned"; the September split (75% of base fees to the proposer, 25% to the Taiko DAO Treasury) is no longer on the page. A proposer that controls the fee recipient receives "Base fees (100%) from all transactions in the blocks they propose." Two costs are named and one is explicitly not published: the prover fee is "Compensation to provers for generating validity proofs. This is negotiated off-chain between proposers and provers." (docs.taiko.xyz/protocol/economics.md, HTTP 200, fetched 28 October 2026).
