- THE THING TO READ FIRST IS THAT THERE IS NO RATE LOCK AND NO QUOTE. A third party — your biller — decides the instant your bitcoin is sold, and Strike's own Terms say it 'is not liable for any bitcoin price fluctuations' (§10(b)) and that it 'DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT ANY BITCOIN BUY OR SELL ORDER YOU PLACE WILL BE FILLED' (§10(d)), while §7(c) disclaims liability if the bill payment is 'delayed, blocked, or rejected for any reason' including 'system failures with Strike or its providers'. Strike publishes a quote-and-expiry for every bitcoin sale you initiate yourself (§10(c)) — the one sale you do not initiate gets none of it. Add two hard gates: the product is US-only excluding Hawaii, and 'The name on your bill must match your Strike account', which rules out a utility in a spouse's or landlord's name.
