A buyer bridging in is trusting a 22-validator set of which 12 seats are reserved, plus the bridge operators, with no cryptographic recourse on Ethereum. Note also that the 13,194,668.16 USDC on Ronin is not matched by the Ethereum gateway escrow, which held only 541,614.06 USDC at Ethereum block 25,705,475; this research could not establish from any page loaded in this session how the remaining float is issued or redeemed.
