Why this rank
Why Avantis avUSDC ranks #2
Each strength is read from evidence on a 0–10 ladder and weighted as the published methodology states. The 32 objective points these produce (24.7 here) sit inside the score; availability, friction, trust record and measured data add the rest. Best in this ranking on 2 of 4.

What would move the rank
Each line is the ranking run again with one of Avantis avUSDC’s criterion scores changed and every other value held: the smallest whole-point change on that criterion that moves its rank, and where the re-run puts it. Up to 4 climbs and 3 falls are listed, smallest change first. Nothing here is a forecast.

Record watch-outs
- The protection story is the best in the pool and the loss story is the thinnest part of it: Avantis tells you in advance exactly how big one trader's win can get (2500% of collateral) but never once tells you what a trader's win has already cost you. There is no incident page, no post-mortem and no dollar loss figure anywhere in the 61-entry docs index, and the served history is 60 days on a vault the operator dates to October 2025 and whose protocol TVL series runs back to February 2024. The junior buffer that the docs call 'the primary risk control' has no published net size: on 2026-09-28 the only readable dollar figure was 1,722,011.86 USDC held gross in the VaultManager, which still includes open collateral, against a 9,776,754 USDC vault. A depositor who chose this for the 2500% cap will be irritated to find that the same docs advertise '35%' as 'inception to date' while the operator's own API shows the share rate already at 1.2436 two months before the stated launch date, and that the docs index still claims LPs earn '100% of all trading fees' when the real figure has been 70% since 11 March 2026. [One partial disclosure: https://docs.avantisfi.com/avnt-token/staking-security-module.md publishes 'Max realized single day share price drawdown for LPs has only been 30bps (0.30%)'. The docs index has 57 entries. The sharper criticism is the opposite one: that same page also claims 'linear growth without any downturns i.e no realized losses' since 'august 2024', which the operator's own share-rate chart endpoint refutes with 12 negative trailing-30d points in June-July 2026.]

Facts

- Pricing
- Deposits are free and there is no documented management or performance fee; the only price the depositor pays is a solvency-indexed withdrawal fee. Avantis now publishes as Veranta and docs.avantisfi.com redirects to docs.veranta.xyz; from https://
docs .veranta .xyz /liquidity-providers /risk-management .md, fetched 2026-09-28: "Note: Vault buffer ratio is a daily snapshot, and fees are only charged on withdrawal when buffer ratio is low. Other times, it is completely free to withdraw. The fees are also tiered based on the buffer ratio of the vault as shown below" — tiers verbatim: "<0.90 | 2.50%", "[0.90, 0.95) | 1.50%", "[0.95, 1.00) | 0.50%", "[1.00, 1.05) | 0.25%", "[1.05, 1.10) | 0.10%", ">= 1.10 | 0.00%". The revenue split retained against the depositor is published on the vault page, https:// docs .veranta .xyz /liquidity-providers /veranta-lp-vault-avusdc .md, fetched the same day: "Fee share to LPs | 70% of opening, closing, and win fees; 100% of margin fees", i.e. 30% of opening, closing and win fees is diverted to buyback-and-burn and 100% of liquidation fees to the protocol treasury. The same vault page still opens with the stale line "earning 100% of all trading fees from perpetuals"; the fee table beneath it is the operative figure.Avantis avUSDC — official page at docs.veranta.xyz ↗ · 28 September 2026 - Prices published in

- BOTH kinds of language are present and they must not be conflated. (1) A GENUINE MARKET RESTRICTION, which is why `global` is not used and `us` is excluded: the Terms at https://
www .avantisfi .com /docs /tos (HTTP 200, read 17 August 2026) require the user to represent that they are not "(i) a natural person resident in the United States; (ii) a partnership or corporation organized or incorporated under the laws of the United States; or (iii) otherwise a “U.S. person” as defined in Rule 902(k)(2) of Regulation S under the Securities Act of 1933 (each, a “U.S. Person”)". That is a blanket exclusion of U.S. persons and a real regional footprint limit, not a sanctions rule. (2) THE STANDARD OFAC/SANCTIONS REPRESENTATION, which applies everywhere and is NOT a regional footprint: the same section excludes anyone "the subject of any sanctions administered or enforced by the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control, the U.S. Department of State or any other governmental authority with jurisdiction over the party" or "located, organized or resident in a country or territory that is, or whose government is, the subject of economic sanctions, including, without limitation, Russia, Crimea, Cuba, Iran, North Korea or Syria (each, a “Restricted Person”)". Note the practical caveat: the vault is a permissionless ERC-4626 contract on Base and nothing onchain enforces either rule — these bind the front end and the contract at 0x944766f715b51967E56aFdE5f0Aa76cEaCc9E7f9 is open to any address.

What the record carries
Changes to published ranks are recorded in a ledger; every step and its cause is listed on the rank-history page. The entries below begin with the current verified snapshot, then the methodology versions whose changes applied to this category, newest first.

- 28 September 2026Current verified snapshot · methodology 2026.10.18Score 74, #2 of 9. 4 of 4 criteria scored. History starts here; earlier values are not interpolated.
- 10 October 2026
2026.10.8When nothing serves your country, the list shown for reference is the published ranking · platform-wide- fixed The reference list shown when nothing serves your country is the published order with the published scores, and a build check now fails any such list out of that order or with a score the ranking does not publish.
- fixed The explorer prints an overall rank only for a row the published ranking holds; a country entrant such as Coinbase Commerce for US merchants shows no overall rank.
- changed Published orders do not move. Country results change only where nothing serves the country: in India bill pay keeps Bitcoin Well first and now shows Strike second, as published; 35 such runs across all categories and countries now match the published list exactly.
- 10 October 2026
2026.10.7Forty-one more products are offered only where their own quoted terms serve- fixed 141 country exclusions on 31 rows, each the name of a country the row's own quoted terms exclude: for example Mercuryo Hungary, China, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Chile, Colombia and Morocco; Gemini Custody the United Kingdom, Australia and the EU after its wind-down; Backed xStocks the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, Nigeria, the Philippines and Venezuela.
- changed Thirteen rows list the only countries their terms serve: Coins.ph the Philippines, Spritz bill pay, Brex, Unchained, WisdomTree, Franklin BENJI and AnchorWatch the United States (with its territories for AnchorWatch), PRYPCO Mint the UAE, N26 crypto seven EU countries, Gemini Tokenized Stocks the EU, XNET the US, Canada and the UK, Coldbit Steel and MetaMask Card the countries they list.
- changed Published (no-country) orders do not move. Country results change: in India six categories each lose one row (bill pay, cards, off-ramps, P2P, seed backup, tokenised real estate), and bill pay there has no row confirmed available, so it shows the published order marked as such; country pages list 23 fewer rows (24,357 to 24,334). The grounding test now matches full country names in any case, which shows seven earlier exclusions were quoted all along: the named debt of unquoted exclusions falls from 40 to 33 pairs.
- 10 October 2026
2026.10.6A criterion you require re-scores the rows that meet it · platform-wide- changed The explorer sends each criterion you require, at any band, as fit_required with your other answers; region, licence, chain and fact filters stay filters. On /best, a required criterion joins For you as a marked preference does, which needs your country; Overall stays the published ranking, filtered.
- added Every published criterion has a golden case as the explorer sends it (require:<criterion>), so the order a requirement gives is replayed and gated as the published order is, and a change to it needs an entry here.
