What this means for retail users
Aave does not require MiCA authorisation because it does not perform crypto-asset service provider activities. MiCA applies to entities that custody, trade, or facilitate crypto-asset services for clients — not to hardware-wallet manufacturers, tax-reporting software, or fully decentralised protocols.
