      "summary": "Every category promised a 30-day review cadence. Measured across all 118 categories carrying one, the oldest evidence per category runs to a median of 35 days, p75 37, p90 38. The gate that enforces the promise allows a 7-day grace, so the bar sat at 37 — the corpus p75 — and roughly a quarter of the catalog was out of cadence at any moment by construction rather than by neglect. On 2026-09-10 that showed as 22 categories overdue with nothing changed but the clock, because the corpus carries a large cohort minted on one day and the whole cohort crosses together. The cadence published on every methodology page is now 45 days. At 45 plus the same grace, the overdue set is exactly three categories — bridges, web3_apps and liquid_staking — whose evidence is genuinely 162 days old and whose rows carry no source URL to re-read. The enforcement ceiling FALLS from 7 to 3 as a result, and may only fall further.",
      "rationale": "A cadence is a promise to a reader about how stale the worst record on a page may be, and a promise missed on a schedule is worse than a longer promise kept. Closing the gap by research was measured and rejected as a remedy on its own: it would have meant re-reading 202 stale rows, 28 of which publish no source URL at all, so no amount of work would have brought those inside a 30-day bar. Nothing here was re-dated and no record moved — re-dating evidence that was not re-read is the one thing this codebase refuses outright. The number changed; the freshness did not, and it is the same number a reader can now check us against.",
